PCC Panel & Power Distribution Board Manufacturer in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Akshayam Controls & Automation designs and manufactures custom Power Control Centre (PCC) panels for centralised electrical distribution in factories, process plants and commercial facilities. The PCC sits at the head of your LT network — everything downstream, from your motor control centres to your lighting and utility boards, is fed and protected through it. The same assembly is commonly called a PCC panel board, a power distribution board or an LT distribution panel — different names for the same equipment.
That position is exactly why the panel deserves proper engineering rather than a standard catalogue box. We start from your load schedule and single-line diagram, size the busbars for the real fault level, and build around switchgear you can actually get spares for — L&T (L&K), Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB and C&S Electric, selected to suit your standardisation policy and site preference. Heavy-duty sheet steel, powder-coated finish, generous cable chambers and clean, ferruled wiring: the details that decide whether the panel is easy or painful to maintain five years from now.
We supply plants across Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Madurai and Trichy, throughout Tamil Nadu, and to industrial customers in Bengaluru and across Karnataka, in Kochi and across Kerala, and to projects throughout South India — with design, manufacturing and technical support handled from our Coimbatore works. Alongside PCC panels we build the electric control panels, power distribution panels and LT distribution panels that sit with them. Many customers order the full distribution chain from us: PCC together with MCC panels, PLC control panels and APFC panels, so the whole system is designed, labelled and documented to one standard.
What is a Power Control Centre (PCC) Panel?
A Power Control Centre panel is the main LT switchboard of an electrical installation. It receives incoming power from the transformer, generator or utility supply and splits it into controlled, individually protected outgoing feeders. Incoming and bus-coupler breakers, current transformers, metering and protection relays all sit inside one assembly, so the entire plant supply can be switched, measured and isolated from a single location. When a fault occurs downstream, the PCC clears it at the feeder level instead of tripping the whole facility.
Power Distribution
Takes the incoming supply and divides it into rated outgoing feeders across the plant.
Centralised Switching
One location to energise, isolate or changeover major power feeders safely.
Electrical Protection
Breakers and relays clear overload, short-circuit and earth faults before damage spreads.
Monitoring & Metering
Voltage, current, power factor and energy consumption visible on the panel front.
Key Features of Our PCC Panels
Robust Panel Construction
CRCA sheet steel enclosures with pre-treatment and powder coating, built to hold alignment and finish in a working plant environment.
Customised Configuration
Incoming rating, feeder count, bus-coupler arrangement and protection scheme are all set by your load schedule — not by a fixed model.
Reliable Busbar System
Copper or aluminium busbars sized for the design current and fault level, with proper phase clearances, supports and insulated sleeving.
Branded Switchgear
Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs), Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs) and protection relays from L&T (L&K), Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB and C&S Electric — selected for proper discrimination and easy spares availability.
Metering & Monitoring
Multi-function meters, CTs, selector switches and indication lamps for real-time readings and quick shift-level checks.
Easy Maintenance
Separated busbar, cable and control chambers with adequate cable space and gland plates, so routine work doesn't mean dismantling the panel.
Organised Internal Wiring
Colour-coded wiring to standard, printed ferrules at both ends and clearly labelled terminal blocks — troubleshooting becomes a five-minute job.
Future Expansion Provision
Spare feeder space and busbar extension provision built in, so adding a machine later doesn't mean a new panel.
Industrial-Grade Design
Suitable IP protection, ventilation with dust filters and safety interlocks for dusty, humid or high-ambient shop floors.

PCC Panel & Power Distribution Board Solutions Across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala
We build and deliver Power Control Centre panels — together with the LT distribution panels, power distribution panels and electric control panels that sit alongside them — for small workshops, mid-sized manufacturing units and heavy industrial plants. Our largest customer base is Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu, followed by Bengaluru and Karnataka, then Kochi and Kerala, with projects across South India. Because every plant has its own layout, fault level and machinery mix, each panel is configured for that site rather than pulled off a shelf. Panels are built around L&T (L&K), Schneider, Siemens, ABB or C&S switchgear so that spares and service are available wherever the panel is installed, and because we are based in Coimbatore, a site visit or a modification within Tamil Nadu is usually a same-week matter, with Bengaluru and Kochi comfortably within reach.
Frequently Asked Questions About PCC Panels
What is a PCC panel?
A Power Control Centre (PCC) panel is the main low-tension switchboard of an electrical installation. It receives incoming power from a transformer or generator and distributes it through protected outgoing feeders to machinery, MCC panels and sub-distribution boards, while providing switching, metering and fault protection from one central assembly. It is also known as a PCC panel board, a power distribution board or an LT distribution panel.
Which switchgear brands do you use in your PCC panels?
We build with L&T (L&K), Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB and C&S Electric switchgear — ACBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays and metering. If your plant has a standardisation policy or an existing spares inventory, we build to that make so your maintenance team keeps working with familiar components.
What is the difference between a PCC panel and an MCC panel?
A PCC panel handles incoming power distribution — it feeds the plant. An MCC panel handles motor control, with starters, overload relays and VFDs for individual drives. In most plants the PCC feeds the MCCs, and both are needed.
Where are PCC panels used?
In textile and spinning mills, engineering and foundry units, water and effluent treatment plants, food processing lines, pharmaceutical and chemical facilities, cement and paper mills, and large commercial buildings — anywhere power has to be split into multiple protected feeders.
Can PCC panels be customized?
Yes. Every panel we build is engineered to order — incoming rating, number and rating of outgoing feeders, busbar material and size, switchgear brand, enclosure dimensions, cable entry direction and metering scheme are all decided by your requirement.
What details do you need to give a quotation?
Ideally your single-line diagram or load schedule, incoming supply rating, list of outgoing feeders with ratings, preferred switchgear make, installation location (indoor or outdoor) and any space constraints. If you don't have drawings ready, our engineers can work from your connected load and machine list.
Do you manufacture PCC panels in Coimbatore?
Yes. Our panel manufacturing facility is at Gandhi Maa Nagar, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Design, fabrication, assembly, wiring and testing are all carried out in-house, and customers are welcome to inspect the panel before dispatch.
Do you supply PCC panels across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala?
Yes. We supply and support PCC panels and power distribution boards across Tamil Nadu — including Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Madurai, Trichy and Chennai — and dispatch regularly to Bengaluru and across Karnataka, to Kochi and across Kerala, and to industrial projects throughout South India.
