What is a Power Control Centre (PCC) Panel?

A Power Control Centre panel is the main LT switchboard of an electrical installation. It receives incoming power from the transformer, generator or utility supply and splits it into controlled, individually protected outgoing feeders. Incoming and bus-coupler breakers, current transformers, metering and protection relays all sit inside one assembly, so the entire plant supply can be switched, measured and isolated from a single location. When a fault occurs downstream, the PCC clears it at the feeder level instead of tripping the whole facility.

What is a PCC panel?

A Power Control Centre (PCC) panel is the main low-tension switchboard of an electrical installation. It receives incoming power from a transformer or generator and distributes it through protected outgoing feeders to machinery, MCC panels and sub-distribution boards, while providing switching, metering and fault protection from one central assembly. It is also known as a PCC panel board, a power distribution board or an LT distribution panel.
